Texas Oncology
Texas Oncology physicians bring the power and resources of a world-class network to bear for patients fighting cancer. They use the latest in pharmaceuticals and leading-edge technologies, and conduct clinical research. More than 80 percent of all cancer care is provided in an out-patient setting. As a pioneer in community-based cancer care, Texas Oncology’s approach enables patients to receive industry-leading treatment without leaving home and the critical support of family and friends.
Founded in 1986, Texas Oncology’s more than 345 physicians are strong patient advocates and provide treatment and care at more than 135 sites of service throughout Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Texas Breast Specialists and Texas Urology Specialists, which focus on all areas of breast and urologic care, are a part of Texas Oncology.
A national leader in cancer risk assessment, the Hereditary Cancer Risk Assessment Program provides an in-depth assessment for individuals with a strong personal and/or family history of cancer and can help identify patients at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. Throughout the Texas Oncology network, physicians have the opportunity to collaborate and share best practices with each other, so that each physician can stay focused on what they do best – caring for patients.
